1. Date 15/01/2015 First day of Tamil month -Thai. Harvest festival begins . In Tamil land , cold and winter comes to an end, and sun moves in the direction of north from south. So brightness will be increasing from today onwards. So it is celebrated as Pongal here and Sangranthi in other states in India.In villages, people go to their temples on any one Tuesday or Friday and prepare pongal and worship their god. It is a thanks giving worship for safely overcoming the hard winter, cold and for a good harvest.
From today onwards Marriage will be arranged and youngsters will start new life.
Next month also will be similar.

2. Date 03/04/2015 Panguni Uttiram day. The angle between the equatorial planes of sun and earth is zero, that means both planes are in a line,and from today onwards sun moves to northern hemisphere side of earth. Tamil people go to their family temples and worship and thank their god.

3. Date 14/04/2015 First day of Tamil month Chithirai, Tamil land is in the same plane of sun’s equatorial plane. Tamil new year day. Full moon day is more bright and lengthy in this month. People organize temple festivals this month and celebrate with their relatives and are happy.
They prepare their land for farming. Wait for south west monsoon. After the arrival of rain they start farming works.

4. Date 17/07/2015 First day of month  Adi , indicates more hotter days ahead and people are fasting and worship God to withstand harder and hotter days ahead. Today sun turns to south from north.

5. 18/08/2015 The first day of month Avani, Tamil land is in the same plane of sun’s equatorial plane. Full moon day is more bright and lengthy this month. People organize temple festivals this month and celebrate with their relatives and are happy.
They prepare their land for farming. Wait for north eastern monsoon. After the arrival of rain start farming.

6. 28/08/2015.The angle between the equatorial planes of sun and earth is zero,  that means both planes are in a line and from today onwards sun moves to southern hemisphere of earth. Onam festival is celebrated .Tamil people go to their family temples and worship and thank their god.

7. Month of Karthikai .People are on fasting and worship their god and prepare for the colder and harsher days ahead in this month and next month Margali. Prepare for harvesting their crops.

Note: Sun is tilted in its axis by 7.4 degrees and earth by 23.4 degree.
